In addition you will find parking, bus, biking and walking instructions. There are many locations to view the fireworks, but the trick is parking and driving home after. Me, I live on a houseboat on the lake so will be in the heart of the fireworks festivities, although I can’t leave my parking space for 48 hours before or we loose it. If you are on the water, say hello: One of the best places to watch the fireworks is at Gas Works Park and there will be many events happening all day, so find a parking space early, bring a blanket and picnic basket, it will be a long day. There are food venders and a beer garden. Many of the local Seattle Cruise Tour boats like Waterways Cruises, Argosy, Fremont Ice Cream boat, Christine W, Queen of Seattle Paddle Wheel (like mine) will have dinner cruise events and they are a wonderful way to watch the fireworks (right in the middle of the lake). We also have some of the most amazing restaurants with out door seating to enjoy the fireworks, but make your reservations early. One of my new 2013 favorites on South Lake Union is “A Terrible Beauty” Irish Pub and Restaurant with an amazing view of the lake and outstanding out door and indoor seating. Also an all time favorite is Eastlake Grill and Little Water Cantina.
July 5th Remember to help with the cleanup which has been sponsored by Starbucks for the past 5 years.
Lastly, if you decide you want to live on or around the lake, Remember Special Agents (Kevin and Linda Bagley) is at the North Lake Union Boat Launch, come in and say hello and see what it available around the lake. We specialize in Seattle Houseboats, House Barges, Floating Homes and all other water properties. Donate for the 4th and enjoy the event!
